Raise your hand everyone who prefers a wireless mouse to a wired one.
Now keep them raised if you hate having your mouse’s charge or batteries run out.
Still have your hand raised? Then you’re in luck! Corsair was showing off its Concept Zeus mouse pad and wireless mouse combo at Computex, an international Information Technology show held yearly in Taiwan, this week. The mouse in this little technology duo never has to be charged, because you’re always charging it – the mouse pad doubles as a Qi charger! That’s Qi, as in the same wireless charging available on some smart phones. And yes, that means you can set your Qi compatible smart phone down on the pad to charge, too!
There are some caveats: It is still only a prototype and, currently, the charging point is limited to a spot in just one corner. However, Corsair is promising a release date before the end of 2017. When it does arrive on the market, the wireless charging feature will work across the whole mouse pad, so the mouse can charge even as you use it.
Now the only road block is getting over the predicted $150-200 price tag.
